Sponsor Senator Burton Shaw said the appropriation is intended to maintain and expand water planning and construction statewide, and to help complete a backlog of projects including dam raises, pipelines and recharge efforts. “It is the intent of this legislation to provide ongoing investment in water infrastructure,” Burton Shaw said, describing a statewide list of projects with multiyear cost estimates.
