King County Council relays sheriff’s update after Tukwila Metro bus shooting; investigation ongoing

Two victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center with gunshot wounds; one victim was treated and released and one remained in serious condition, the statement said.
The statement added that suspects fled the scene before deputies arrived and that major‑crimes detectives had responded and begun an investigation. The statement said no transit operator was injured; the sheriff’s office characterized the investigation as active and ongoing.
The chair said the council relayed the sheriff’s office update to inform the public and noted that the search for suspects continued. No further action was recorded at the Feb. 18 meeting; the council did not vote on any emergency measures related to the incident.
