Idaho Lottery requests $76,700 in equipment replacements for servers and workstations

The Idaho State Lottery told the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee on Jan. 15 it is requesting $76,700 in one-time appropriation from its dedicated fund to replace servers, desktops, laptops and iMac workstations.
Kellen McGurkin, budget and policy analyst with the Legislative Services Office, summarized the Idaho Lottery’s request. The agency requested $54,700 for server equipment and software, $8,100 for desktops and laptops and $13,900 for two iMac workstations. McGurkin said the agency requests iMacs because the marketing division uses enhanced monitors and drivers for scratch-ticket design, point-of-sale materials and signage.
McGurkin reminded the committee that the Idaho State Lottery’s statutory authority is found in "Chapter 74, Title 67, Idaho Code," which governs state lottery operations. The director of the lottery was present in the room. Committee members had no substantive questions at the presentation; the item will be considered as part of the committee’s replacement-item deliberations.
