Student representative highlights Duxbury High programs during public comment

Jack Rubin, a senior at Duxbury High School and the student representative, used public comment time to describe a student-led anti-misinformation campaign and to highlight the school’s academic and extracurricular offerings. He said the initiative aims to show “what Duxbury High School is all about” and stressed the breadth of opportunities at the school, including Advanced Placement courses, the Global Citizenship Program and numerous extracurricular activities.

Rubin said the school’s extracurricular offerings include an “undefeated math team” and independent study options that enabled him to pursue the anti-misinformation project. He described Duxbury as a community that offers “so many valuable opportunities” that he said should be “well maintained and protected.”
