As presented to the council, the MVRTA request would amend previously issued licenses to allow storage of 20,000 gallons of diesel aboveground and 20,000 gallons of gasoline underground. The item was set for a March 11 hearing date for full public consideration.
Councilor McGonigal moved to schedule the hearing; the motion was seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote. The council did not discuss technical details of containment, permitting conditions or environmental review at the time of scheduling; those issues will be addressed at the March 11 public hearing.
