The budget, paid from mineral lease funds received by the transportation district, will be allocated to the Recreation Special Service District and the county roads department, the county manager told the board. “The total budget for that is 395,000,” the county manager said, and noted that the Recreation Special Service District has historically received $150,000 and that the board could choose to provide additional funding in the future.
The board convened at 6:30 p.m. for a special meeting. After a roll call that left Kendall Thomas absent, the board approved minutes from the Dec. 3, 2024 meeting. Councilman Wardle moved to approve the minutes; Councilman Hamner seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The board then opened a public hearing on the Transportation Special Service District budget; no members of the public spoke. The hearing was closed, and the board voted to adopt Resolution 2025‑01 to approve the budget. Councilman Hoffman moved to approve Resolution 2025‑01; Councilman Hamner seconded. Members voted in favor; the adoption was recorded as unanimous on the record.
After the vote the board adjourned.
