Dr. Ellen Upton, introduced to the committee as the Idaho science and technology policy fellow working with the Legislative Services Office (LSO), told members she recently earned a Ph.D. in biomedical science with a focus in immunology from the University of Iowa and is available as a resource for scientific and policy research.
"I am working with LSO this year, kind of in a similar role to a research analyst," Upton said, offering to provide research, legislative history, and data visualization for committee questions on biological sciences and agricultural practices.
Chairman Andrews noted Dr. Upton's office location in the LSO suite and asked staff to circulate contact information. Committee members thanked her for the assistance and the committee adjourned to meet again the following Monday.
