Blue Earth County sets Nov. 18 hearing to accept County Ditch 1 repairs

Craig Ocanson, representing county property and environmental resources staff, told the Blue Earth County Drainage Authority on Oct. 21 that engineers submitted an acceptance report for repairs on County Ditch 1 and that contractual work by the contractor has been completed.
Ocanson said County Ditch 1 drains roughly 2,572 acres, predominantly in McPherson Township. He asked the Drainage Authority to set a contract acceptance hearing for Nov. 18, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners room on the second floor of the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse building.
A commissioner moved to set the hearing date and a second was recorded. The board voted by voice and the chair announced the motion carries.
Context: The acceptance hearing will provide a formal opportunity for the Drainage Authority to consider the engineer's acceptance report and any public comment before final acceptance of the repair contract.
