Lawrence Police Commission accepts exam results, advances candidates and adopts selection preferences

The Lawrence Police Department Police Commission on Wednesday evening approved written- and oral-examination results for an entry-level hiring list, advancing 17 candidates to the oral-interview review and 13 candidates to background checks, and adopted preferential selection criteria that add half-point awards for several categories of applicants.

The action came during a short meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.; Lieutenant Scott Evans of the Florence Police Department presented the exam results and the recommended selection criteria.
