JFAC approves minor language correction for Idaho Commission for Libraries

A unanimous-consent request to adopt the correction was objected to by Senator Wintrow, after which a formal motion to accept the language was made and approved. The committee reported the motion with a due-pass recommendation; the chair announced a Senate vote of 8 ayes and 2 nays and a House vote of 10 ayes (total 18 ayes, 2 nays). The committee clerk recorded the motion as carrying a due-pass recommendation.
The action only adjusts drafting language; no new funding or program change was attached to this motion. The committee did not debate policy implications of the statutory text beyond confirming the correction matched the sponsor’s intent.
The committee moved on to subsequent agenda items after the roll call and adoption.
