JFAC adopts standard federal-funding restriction language for Health & Welfare bills

The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee accepted technical language for the Department of Health and Welfare's other programs budget that clarifies standard federal funding restrictions and related indirect support services. Analysts said the language was standard and had been omitted from the packet prepared for an earlier session.
Alex Williamson, budget and policy analyst with the Legislative Services Office, told the committee the language is a correction to include the usual federal-funding restriction language in the Department of Health and Welfare bills; "there's no change to what was included in the original bill," Williamson said.
Representative Price requested unanimous consent to accept the language; committee members raised no objections and the language was accepted without roll-call vote. The analyst said the language will be added to the packet and go forward with the bill.
