Brad Little wrote, “I have the honor to inform you that Robert Blum of Hayden, Idaho was appointed to the Idaho Aeronautics Advisory Board to serve a term commencing 05/09/2024, and expiring 01/31/2029. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate, and notice of appointment is hereby given.” Similar letters for the other appointees gave each person's place of residence and the term dates reported to the Senate; each appointment notice carried the same phrasing that the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
Details published to the record by the Senate clerks show the term dates reported to the chamber as follows: Blum — term commencing May 9, 2024, and expiring Jan. 31, 2029; Whittington — term commencing Jan. 15, 2024, and expiring Jan. 15, 2030; Malek — term commencing April 10, 2024, and expiring April 10, 2028; and Wolfe — term commencing June 5, 2024 (term expiration not specified in the notice). The Senate’s announcement did not include confirmation votes; the notices themselves were entered into the record and referred to the named standing committees for consideration as required by Senate practice.
