BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Senate on Jan. 14 took up first reading of Senate Bill 1001, titled the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act, and referred the measure to the Judiciary and Rules Committee for printing and committee consideration.
Under unanimous consent granted on the floor, the chamber advanced to the first-reading order and allowed all bills on first reading to be read by number, author and title only. Senate Bill 1001 was announced in that sequence and the Senate clerk recorded that SB1001 will be referred to the Judiciary and Rules Committee for printing.
