JFAC approves DHW indirect support services replacements, orders vehicle‑fleet report

BOISE, Feb. 14, 2025 — The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee approved replacement funding and IT hardware for the Department of Health and Welfare’s Division of Indirect Support Services and attached language requiring DHW to report to JFAC on its vehicle fleet.
The motion approved replacement items and Office of Information Technology hardware requests included in the division’s FY2026 program maintenance; Representative Mitchell moved the motion and a recorded roll call confirmed the motion. The language added to the appropriation directs DHW to evaluate its vehicle fleet and provide utilization data, vehicle‑use policy review and recommendations on appropriateness of vehicle counts. That report is due to JFAC through Legislative Services by Dec. 15 of the year specified in the appropriation language.
