The Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee moved two gubernatorial appointments to the Senate floor with recommendations that the Senate confirm each nominee.
Senator Harris moved to send the appointment of Lori Wolfe as director of the Division of Financial Management to the Senate floor with a recommendation she be confirmed; the motion was seconded by Senator Bernd and carried by voice vote. The committee recorded no opposing votes on the motion.
The committee then considered the gubernatorial reappointment of Matthew Whittington to the Idaho State Racing Commission. Senator Dan Hartog moved that the reappointment be sent to the Senate floor with a recommendation of confirmation; Senator Toews seconded. That motion also passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Both actions were taken during the committee’s public session before a briefing from Mountain Home Air Force Base and were followed later by the committee’s entry into an executive session at the military’s request.
