Ehardt criticized the Mountain West Conference and the NCAA for their policies on eligibility, calling the situation “wrong” and saying the conferences should have changed policies. She noted the governor had issued an executive order she said was relevant to the topic.
Representative Palmer moved to introduce RS31870 for a full hearing; the committee carried the motion by voice vote. The committee did not adopt the resolution at this meeting; introduction places RS31870 on a future hearing calendar where sponsors may present witnesses and the committee may consider amendments.
