McGurkin said the requested $176,700 includes about $154,700 for server equipment and software, $8,100 for desktops and laptops and $13,900 for two iMac workstations; the agency requested iMacs because marketing staff use enhanced monitors and drivers for scratch‑ticket design and point‑of‑sale materials.
The new lottery director attended the hearing. Committee members noted the request comes from the lottery’s dedicated fund; the analyst reiterated the items were replacement purchases. The hearing did not include a committee vote; the request will be considered in the committee’s replacement and maintenance deliberations.
