Commission for the Blind requests $28,900 for desktops, laptops and network upgrades

Brooke Dupree, a budget and policy analyst with the Legislative Services Office, told the committee the request included six desktops, eight laptops with docking stations, four routers, one switch and seven wireless access points; the Office of Information Technology Services reviewed the items and the governor recommended funding.
Administrator Cumminghand (attending the hearing) was present to answer questions. Committee members did not take action at the hearing; the request will be considered during the committee’s maintenance and replacement deliberations.
