The request was reviewed and approved by the Office of Information Technology Services and recommended by the governor.
Committee members asked why some network switches in other agency requests cost more; Campbell said the STEM Action Center’s network is smaller in scale and thus requires smaller‑capacity devices. Director Gonzalez (present in the room) confirmed that explanation.
No action was taken at the hearing; the request will be considered during the committee’s maintenance and replacement deliberations.
