At Prairie Wind, the principal reported that fourth‑grade science scores were high (68.4 percent) and that the school was above state level in seven of nine tested subject‑grade combinations. The principal credited daily science instruction, use of Panorama and hands‑on science kits and a stable staff: the presentation cited an average tenure of about eight years for the school’s 36 certified teachers and an average of five years among classified staff. The principal said the school enrolls about 401 students and that free‑and‑reduced participation was about 44 percent.
