Travis Seidman, principal of Rosette Elementary, told the Board of Trustees that a community survey and a follow‑up vote showed strong support for exploring a four‑day school week, but trustees urged more data on instructional time, transportation and child care before any decision.
Seidman said the school ran an initial survey and two public meetings before a final survey in January that drew 94 community respondents out of a school population of about 225. "In support of the 4 day alternative schedule that came in at 88.7%," he said, adding that roughly 72 respondents favored the change while 11.3% opposed it. Seidman said staff support for exploring the schedule also was high.
