The Punta Gorda Code Enforcement Board on Oct. 21, 2025, found Ocean Breeze Holdings LLC in violation of outside-storage and tall-grass provisions and ordered the property at 1975 Naranjo Street (also referenced as Norangia/Naranjo in records) into compliance within 30 days.
Frank Coppinger, code compliance officer, presented 16 photos and said his Aug. 14, 2025 inspection found outside storage including blue tarps, wood, yard debris and other miscellaneous debris, and tall grass and weeds exceeding 12 inches. Notices were mailed in August; reinspection on Sept. 3, 2025, found tall grass corrected but outside storage remained. Coppinger submitted case costs of $17.23.
The board found a prima facie case and then issued a cease-and-desist order covering both outside storage (chapter 9, section 9-2(a)) and tall grass/weeds (chapter 9, section 9-2(h)). The board ordered the respondents to remove outside storage and maintain vegetation within 30 days and to pay $17.23 in case costs within 30 days. The board warned that failure to comply could lead to fines up to $250 per day plus applicable interest.
