Spring Cleanup Day is scheduled for April 5. City staff said residents may dispose of one load of garbage, recycling and yard waste for free at the city shop by presenting a March or April utility bill and a valid ID showing a Mount Vernon address. Council members Melissa Beaton and Mary Hudson invited residents to a Ward 3 community meeting on Tuesday, April 8 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 3.
