Minutes and financial items: The council approved the minutes for Sept. 2 and Sept. 16, 2025 (motion by Councilman Hoffman, second by Councilman Thomas) and approved the county check registry (motion by Councilman Wardle, second by Councilman Hoffman). Both were adopted by voice vote.
Budget line transfers: The council approved transfers from contingency to the independent audit and centrally assessed property audit lines to cover the payroll audit and centrally assessed property audits (motion by Councilman Stromberg, second by Councilman Thomas). The transfers were described as a transfer of existing funds, not a net budget increase.
RDA dissolutions: The council adopted ordinances to dissolve two RDA project areas — the Desert Peak commercial community development project area and the North Stansbury retail community project area — following earlier RDA board resolutions. Councilman Hoffman moved the motion; Councilman Stromberg seconded. The ordinances will authorize the county manager’s office to send required notifications to affected entities.
Appointment: The council appointed Del(e) Jones (application on file) to the county audit committee (motion by Councilman Thomas, second by Councilman Wardle). The council encouraged further recruitment to fill remaining board vacancies.
