The Chilton County Commission approved a resolution extending a previously adopted 15 mile-per-hour speed limit on County Road 350 by one mile to the west, from the location at Little River Materials to the intersection with County Road 34.
Commissioner Perkins introduced the resolution, explaining he wanted to move the reduced speed zone one mile farther west to continue the 15 mph restriction. “Extend it 1 mile west, from Little River material down to the intersection of County Road 34,” Perkins said during his update.
Commissioner Perkins moved for the resolution and the motion was seconded; the measure passed unanimously.
The resolution as adopted extends the local reduced speed segment; the commission did not discuss engineering studies or traffic counts at the meeting and did not place a sunset date on the resolution during the discussion.
Provenance evidence: the speed limit extension was described during Commissioner Perkins’s updates on county projects and road matters.
