Chilton County appoints five members to Cemetery Rehabilitation Authority after suspending rules

County staff member Sylvia Singleton presented a list of five nominees who had agreed to serve if appointed. The commission moved to open nominations and then immediately moved to suspend the rules and appoint the nominees so they could begin work.
The five people appointed were Derek Scott (seat 1a), Red Carter (seat 2a), Kaylee Hayes (seat 2b), Meredith Nunn (seat 3a) and Aaron Nelson (seat 3b). The commission recorded that the initial terms will be staggered and then become three-year terms thereafter.
The motion to suspend the rules and to appoint the five nominees passed unanimously.
