At the start of the Sept. 29 meeting the Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Commission granted remote participation to newly seated Commissioner Nikkita Kondaria after she stated she had a contagious illness. The commission voted to allow Kondaria to participate and vote remotely; Commissioner Hansen was recorded absent.
Later in the meeting the commission nominated and voted to appoint Kondaria as vice chair. Members indicated the vice chair’s responsibilities include running meetings in the chair’s absence; Kondaria accepted the nomination and the commission voted in favor.
The consent calendar included approval of the minutes from the Aug. 25 meeting. Kondaria abstained from the vote because she said she had not been able to view the prior meeting’s full Zoom recording due to a reported power outage; the minutes were otherwise approved.
A summary of recorded formal actions from the meeting follows.
