Commissioners approve contract with USI Consultants to update ADA/Title VI policies

Decatur County commissioners voted Oct. 20 to authorize a contract with USI Consultants to update the county's Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI materials, a step county staff said is required to remain eligible for certain state and federal funds.
Derek Toll of USI Consultants presented to the board and said USI was working with county staff to assemble the updated ADA Title VI plan. Toll told commissioners he had printed copies of the contract available and asked for the board's approval so the county could meet funding-eligibility requirements.
A commissioner moved to approve the ADA authorization; another seconded the motion. The board approved the contract by voice vote.
Commissioners did not record a roll-call tally in the meeting record. Staff said copies of the contract were available and that USI would proceed once the board authorized the agreement.
