The Corte Madera Climate Action Committee approved the minutes from its prior meeting by unanimous voice vote on Oct. 15. An unnamed committee member moved to approve the minutes and an unnamed committee member seconded; the chair called the vote and members responded “Aye.”
In staff updates, Steph reported that the Corte Madera Town Council introduced a local building‑code update on Oct. 7; the council’s initial vote on the ordinance was 4‑1. Steph said the ordinance will return to council on Oct. 21 for a second reading and possible adoption; if adopted and approved by the state in a timely manner, the ordinance would take effect on Jan. 1, 2026. Steph also reported that Council Member Beckman requested a resolution in support of the California Climate Superfund bill be placed on the Oct. 21 consent calendar.
The committee did not itself vote on the building‑code ordinance or the climate bill resolution during the Oct. 15 meeting; those matters are before the Town Council.
