District proposes aligning Luminary Middle feeder with Lake Nona High; board asks for capacity detail

Orange County Public Schools staff proposed a targeted rezoning on Oct. 21 to align the Luminary Middle School zone with Lake Nona High School, moving 136 high‑school‑aged residents into Lake Nona’s attendance area.

Staff explained that October 2024 enrollment figures reflected an earlier high twelfth grade cohort that no longer applies in the same way to the current year.
