Fair board amends minutes to record discussion of advertising in Telegraph and radio

The Bradford County Agricultural Fair Association voted to amend the prior meeting minutes to record a discussion about advertising the fair in the Telegraph and on radio, board members said at the Oct. 28 meeting.

Members debated whether routine discussion items must appear in the minutes. One board member noted that "the voting items have to be in the minutes" and that open discussion does not legally have to be included, but the group agreed to add the advertising discussion to the minutes for clarity. "If you wanna make a motion that we put in the and then amend the last minutes to make sure that that discussion is put in there and vote on it revote on it, then you can make a motion to do that," a board member said during the discussion.

A motion was made and seconded to amend the minutes to include the advertising discussion; the board then voted by voice. The amendment specifically records that advertising of the fair will be handled through media outlets, described in the meeting as the Telegraph and radio.
