DRCOG unveils 'Power Ahead Colorado' brand for building decarbonization program

Consultants said the campaign is based on four months of research that included 12 stakeholder interviews, advisory‑council sessions with community partners, focus groups with low‑income homeowners and a survey of about 180 homeowners across the DRCOG region. Camille Zuccardi, vice president of strategy at Karshagen, said the research showed residents respond to messages about comfort, health and cost rather than technical terms. “We cannot say decarbonization. No one understands what that means,” Zuccardi said, summarizing the team’s guidance on vocabulary.
