He said underwriting for most individual building models has already been secured and asked the county to consider a supporting sponsorship of $5,000 for a specific build or a $10,000 lead-sponsorship option.
Jessop noted the MAC27s previous spring exhibition (a samurai exhibit) attracted strong attendance and regional visitors, and that the museum aims to engage children and families while driving tourism. "A $5,000 sponsorship would sponsor that specific build," Jessop said. He added that prior county-sponsored exhibitions included employee nights and that the proposed exhibition would include an employee night for county staff.
Next steps: commissioners thanked the MAC for the presentation. The museum's staff said they will follow up on sponsorship details. No formal vote or funding decision was recorded at the briefing; the request will be considered as part of routine budget or sponsorship processes if commissioners choose to approve support.
