Echagari said drivers were using Evergreen Drive as a cut-through to avoid lane restrictions elsewhere and that the street’s steep grade and lack of stop signs make it dangerous for residents exiting driveways. He asked the municipality to consider removable speed-control devices across the hill in summer months and reiterated an earlier report that permanent speed bumps had been denied because they impeded snow removal.
