Resident urges temporary traffic signal on Koi Road amid construction congestion

“I know the other day when I tried to get out at 5:00, it took me 20 minutes to leave the development to make a left turn,” Guyatt said. He asked the council to consider temporary lights for school commute hours to reduce congestion and safety risk.
Council members did not make a formal commitment during the public‑comment period. The comment was recorded for council awareness; no staff report or vote was made during public comment.
If the council elects to pursue temporary signals, that action would involve coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation or other traffic authorities if the affected roadway is state‑maintained.
