Brookshire approves payment of past‑due Crystal Lakes amounts, authorizes FY26 budget amendment

Staff described the matter as an accounting and administration oversight during a prior staffing transition and said funds have been collected but not disbursed. City staff recommended authorizing payment of the two past due amounts and including the FY26 payment through a budget amendment.
A councilmember moved to approve payment of the two past due payments and the FY26 payment and to prepare the necessary budget amendment; the motion passed by voice vote. Staff said the city is legally obligated to make those payments and will proceed with the accounting and disbursement steps.
