The DuPage County Judicial and Public Safety Committee on Oct. 21 approved several procurement and budget items by voice vote, including a child guardian ad litem contract, a tethered drone purchase, a secure safe for the sheriff’s office, and a $442,000 budget transfer.
The committee approved a one-year contract with Adrianna T. Anderson of Anderson Attorneys and Advisors LLC to provide guardian ad litem services in juvenile child-protection cases from Nov. 1, 2025, through Oct. 31, 2026, for a contract total not to exceed $42,000. The motion (JPSP-46-25) was moved by Member Krayjewski and seconded by Member Yu and carried.
The committee approved JPSP-47-25, a purchase order to Safeware Inc. for a tethered drone and five years of support for $67,892.25 (see separate coverage for details). That motion was moved by Member Ozog and seconded by Member Hoenig and carried.
The committee approved a purchase order to American Made Safe and Security LLC for a GSA class 5 four-drawer safe for the sheriff's office for the period Oct. 21, 2025, through Oct. 20, 2026, for a contract total not to exceed $15,561.80. The motion was moved by Member Krijewski and seconded by Member Zay and carried.
A budget transfer motion (item 205-2564) to move funds from software to IT equipment and other professional services in the amount of $442,000 was moved by Member Grzewski and seconded by Member Childress and carried.
The committee also placed on file two informational reports: the Safe Harbor monthly report for September 2025 and the Public Defender's Office 2025 statistical report. Those items were accepted without further action.
