Ankeny said the naming recommendation follows the city naming policy established by Resolution R93‑37 and the park master plan, which the Parks, Recreation and Advisory Board approved Sept. 3. Council expressed support for the proposed name (several members said they had known the site informally as Dome Park) and raised no objection to moving the item forward to the regular session for formal action.
The item will be placed on the regular session agenda for final adoption.
