Manager Rivas said the recommendation was intended to remain consistent with last year’s schedule. "In staying consistent with last year's action, it is recommended the village board approve the official trick or treat hours of 3PM to 8PM on Friday, 10/31/2025," Rivas said.
Trustees discussed the timing briefly. Trustee Kumar said she had not heard problems with the 3‑to‑8 schedule and noted single‑parent households and later arrival times for some families as reasons to keep the extended hours. Trustee Constatos and others agreed, and the board approved the resolution by roll call vote.
The resolution now stands as the official guidance for Villa Park residents and families for Halloween evening events in the village.
