Galveston IDC approves FY26 GEDP membership and $10,000 summit sponsorship

The motions were moved and seconded on the record: Board Member Keith Bassett moved approval of the membership renewal; Council Member Alex Peretta seconded. The board then moved to approve the summit sponsorship; the motion was seconded by Board Member Jason Hardcastle. Joshua Owens, representing the partnership, spoke briefly to thank the city for its continued support and described the arrangement as a public-private partnership.
Board members were informed the city will receive two sponsor tables as part of the summit sponsorship; staff circulated a draft summit agenda for members who may want to attend. Staff confirmed the motions passed unanimously among members present at the meeting.
