Separately during the meeting the board recognized Laurel Cox of the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office for 20 years of service, noting her long tenure in the child protection unit. Staff and commissioners praised Cox’s work; a prosecutor’s-office representative said the unit is widely regarded for its performance in Idaho child protection cases.
Ending: The proclamation was adopted and a representative of the Ada County Victim Services Center accepted recognition and thanks on behalf of staff; Laurel Cox was publicly recognized in a staff ceremony during the meeting.
