Staff estimated that the reduced parking ratio would lower required on‑site spaces from about 220 to approximately 178 based on the proposed 168 rooms and existing UDC calculations. A staff member noted the PD was initiated by the city and that the change carried no cost to the developer. The ordinance passed first reading; the commission discussed the project’s scale and potential views toward local launch sites but did not take additional changes on the floor.
