Board appoints residents to commissions and advisory boards

The Board of County Commissioners made multiple appointments at its Oct. 7 meeting, reappointing and naming members to the Commission for Women, Employee Recognition Committee, Environmental Commission, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Student Safety and Well‑Being Advisory Committee.
At its Oct. 7 meeting the Board of County Commissioners approved a slate of appointments to county advisory bodies and commissions.
Emily Shreve, constituent services specialist, presented staff recommendations. The board reappointed Diana Wharton and appointed Dr. Shywan Makele to the Calvert County Commission for Women. The board appointed Brianna Cusick as the Finance & Budget representative on the Employee Recognition Committee; appointed Dr. Janet Wysocki to the Environmental Commission; appointed Trevor Holinski to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; and appointed Stacy Taiman as the Calvert Association of Educational Support Staff representative to the Student Safety and Well‑Being Advisory Committee.
Each appointment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; staff noted vacancies that remain on the listed boards and encouraged residents to apply through the county website’s boards and commissions page.
