The Hardee County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the meeting agenda, two proclamations, the consent agenda and a minor subdivision during its Oct. 2, 2025 regular meeting.
The board voted first to accept the day's agenda. Commissioner Chancy moved to accept the agenda; Commissioner Wells seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
The board then adopted two ceremonial proclamations. A proclamation declaring October 2025 as Safe Sleep Awareness Month — read on the board's behalf by Miranda Adame of the Florida Department of Health — passed on a motion by Commissioner Chancy with a second by Commissioner Miller. A second proclamation declaring Oct. 5–11, 2025 as National 4‑H Week in Hardee County was approved on a motion by Commissioner Flores, seconded by Commissioner Wells. Both proclamations passed unanimously and the board signed copies for photos.
On routine business the board approved the consent agenda (items A–F) on a motion by Commissioner Flores, seconded by Commissioner Chancy, by unanimous vote.
On a separately noticed land-use matter, the board approved the Pang Li minor subdivision (sometimes referenced in staff materials as Pangley Minor Subdivision). Planner/Director Miller reported the application would divide a 20‑acre parent parcel into three parcels, all meeting Land Development Code standards; access will be via Matheny Road and future residences would use wells and septic at time of permitting. Commissioner Flores moved to approve the subdivision and to authorize the county manager or chair to sign necessary documents; Commissioner Wells seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
