ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — City staff at the Englewood mayor–manager meeting on Oct. 1 reviewed agenda items scheduled for upcoming City Council meetings, flagging several grants, intergovernmental agreements and capital projects for council consideration.
The briefing listed a proposed Arapahoe County open-space grant of $500,000 to enhance the Centennial Trail; an acceptance of a $250,000 high-efficiency electric heating and appliances grant from the Colorado Energy Office; contract awards and consultant agreements for street, bridge and reservoir projects; and multiple 2026 budget ordinances and first- and second-reading items. City staff did not take formal votes in the meeting; the session served as a review of items for the Oct. 6 through Nov. 17 council agendas.
City Manager Sean Lewis said the storm drainage update discussed at a recent study session appeared to have no objections and recommended that the City Council place that item on the consent agenda. "I didn't hear any disagreement on that one, so I would say put that one on consent," Lewis said.
Why it matters: the items reviewed include capital projects, intergovernmental agreements and grant acceptances that, if approved by council, would affect trail improvements, utility and street work, and upcoming municipal budgets and ordinances.
