Blair County commissioners approve routine contracts, renewals and revised MOU; rescind resolution 461-2025

On Oct. 2, 2025, the Blair County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a series of routine contracts, renewals and a revised memorandum of understanding and to rescind a prior resolution.

The actions, taken at the commissioners’ regular meeting in Hollidaysburg, included approval of a domestic relations legal-services contract, a renewal purchase-of-service agreement for children and youth congregate care, a renewal social-services contract with a capped amount, ratification of warrants and budget transfers, approval of a revised MOU with Discover Blair County, and a motion to rescind Resolution 461-2025. All motions were moved and seconded and were approved by voice vote.

Why it matters: the approvals authorize county spending and vendor relationships that affect court support-enforcement services, placements for children and youth, and county-funded social services. One presenter said contract payments for some social service providers are on hold pending resolution of a state budget impasse, a detail that may delay payments to local providers even though contracts were approved.
