The Norwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission recorded several unanimous procedural votes at its October meeting:
- Approval of minutes: The commission approved the minutes from the Sept. 4 meeting by unanimous vote. The motion to approve was made and seconded and the chair announced the vote was unanimous.
- IWWCC 25-889 (Canterbury Turnpike): The commission accepted the applicant’s offer of an extension and postponed further action on IWWCC 25-889 to the next meeting; the motion to accept the extension and postpone passed unanimously.
- IWWCC205M3 (Aukum Industrial Center modification): The commission received and tabled the application and also voted that the modification did not warrant a public hearing. The commission found the revised plan showed significantly less disturbance than the previously approved modification; both the receipt/tabling motion and the motion finding no public hearing warranted passed unanimously.
All recorded votes at the meeting were unanimous. Where the commission granted an extension for the Canterbury Turnpike subdivision, staff noted that the three wetland-adjacent residential lots must return for individual-lot development review when building plans are submitted.
