The Birmingham City Council approved the consent agenda at the start of its Oct. 7 meeting by a unanimous vote, the council recorded.
The clerk read items on the consent agenda, covering items listed across the agenda pages. A council member moved approval and another seconded; the clerk then recorded all votes as "aye." The council president announced the consent agenda was approved unanimously.
The minutes for meetings from May 6 through Sept. 30 were not ready, and one consent item had a correction to a payment amount (Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP, $35,415.32) noted during the clerk’s reading. One consent item was withdrawn by the city attorney’s office and processed accordingly.
No individual roll-call votes were read aloud in the meeting transcript; the council recorded a unanimous approval and proceeded to other business.
