Fox Chapel Area School District staff told the board Oct. 6 that the district’s comprehensive emergency management plan (CEMP) will be submitted for annual approval at the next meeting. The packet states the CEMP replaces the district’s basic emergency plan and is intended to bring the district into compliance with federal and state emergency guidance under FEMA, the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
The operations and cooperative services report also lists ratification of cybersecurity services agreements, approval of an estimated $8,000 safety incentive program for district employees, and acceptance of an anonymous donation of items to the Dorseyville Middle School orchestra and Fox Chapel Area High School bands.
Board members had no substantive follow-up questions during the Oct. 6 briefing. The listed items are annual or routine approvals and donations; staff stated the emergency plan must be approved annually and that the cybersecurity agreements and safety incentive are routine items for board ratification.
These items were informational at the Oct. 6 meeting and will be presented for formal approval at the next business meeting.
