The resident, who gave a Lincoln Avenue Southwest address for the record, said the storage developer had indicated at the rezoning meeting that a privacy fence would be installed between the storage units and nearby apartments. The resident said there is substantial traffic through a parking lot and that people have nearly been struck.
Mayor (presiding) invited the city planner to respond. Barry Cranston, city planner, said he did not recall the conversation but that he would look back at the variance documents and follow up. Cranston told the resident he would get back to them within a day.
The commission did not take formal action at the meeting beyond directing staff to review the variance and report back.
